Kicking and Screaming

Actually, just kicking, thankfully. Karin has been feeling our Tadpole moving around in there for about a month now. Try as I might, though, I just couldn’t feel anything from the outside. Until Wednesday night. On Wednesday night, my son kicked me. Those few seconds and those few jabs go down as one of the happiest, most unbelievable moments of my life to date. Unfortunately, I have not been able to feel him again since then, but hopefully that will change soon. He’s getting bigger now; he should be between 11 & 11 1/2 inches and weigh about 1 lb.

Of course, I’m all excited about the nice strong movements that I can feel through Karin’s belly, but she, though happy about it, is a little less enthusiastic about being kicked in the bladder all the time.

The picture above comes from the 3D Pregnancy Calendar, which appears to be a site owned by Nickelodeon. I don’t have anaglyph glasses at home, but if you do, you can see that 22 week-old fetus jump right out at you :-).
